Account books, 1813-1826.

Daybook and ledger, 1813-1826, commenced by Francis Silvester and Augustus Wynkoop, his brother-in-law, when they jointly purchased the entire real and personal estate of Francis Silvester's father, Peter Silvester, from the various hiers and proprietors. In these volumes, they record the gradual settlement of various outstanding accounts, in addition to purchases of livestock, lumber, meat, etc.; as well as money provided to cover the personal expenses of Peter's widow, Jane (Jannetje) Van Schaack Silvester, and to pay for board for Henry W. Silvester.
